Is It Any Wonder?

I said my last goodbye to you.
Can't say you didn't give me any warning,
but I wasn't prepared for what it out me through.
You turned and walked away forever.
I had no choice but to do the same.
I could have felt worse; I could have felt better.
I could have given you a place to stay.
Is it any wonder I'm all alone,
while you were so anxious to find a home?
Without a chance, I let you go.
It is any wonder?
Somewhere as the time slips away,
I finally realize that your gone.
Though I might be the first to say it,
I'm the last to realize when I'm wrong.
Is it any wonder I'm all alone,
while you were so anxious to find a home?
Without a chance, I let you go.
It is any wonder?
Somewhere in the middle of the night,
I reach out for you, but you're not there.
I sit up and I turn on the light:
It's so easy to see how much I really care.
